MATRADE provides a variety of export incentives to promote exports of Malaysian products and services. However, the actual impact of the export incentives has to be effectively measured. Currently, most of the export incentives from MATRADE require companies to provide feedbacks via survey to show the outcomes from the activities participated. The inputs provided by the participants are mostly potential / unrealised sales and does not reflect the actual export value. Currently the reports to assess the effectiveness of the export incentives are done manually, and the data are stored in various systems and files.
Business Objectives (BO):
BO1: To increase SME contribution to export from 17% (2018) to 23% by 2020 by ensuring effective distribution, utilisation and impact of MATRADE's export incentives:
i. Market Development Grant (MDG)
ii. eTRADE
iii. Trade Promotion Programmes, i.e. Trade Fairs, International Sourcing Programme (INSP) & Export Acceleration Mission (EAM).
